9 Appold St

We were asked to bring a bit of Shoreditch edge to this property launch on Appold Street where the City meets Shoreditch. In contrast to many other launches, this was an informal set up with vintage leather sofas and industrial style furniture. The team were allowed to wear their own shirts and t-shirts under our heavy duty Labour and Wait aprons in an effort to re-create an Antipodean coffee shop vibe.

We picked up freshly made beigels from Brick Lane’s 24 hour bakery and filled them with smoked salmon and cream cheese or avocado. We also introduced our first breakfast ‘burgers’ inspired by the iconic McDonald’s egg McMuffin using Bola Buns in their wide range of colours for each flavour combination.

Crosstown doughnuts and custard tarts were tempered by fruit salad and yogurt pots. Those who may have had a late night the evening before were able to take advantage of a Bloody Mary or wake themselves up with strong barista coffee.
