Petersham At The Palace

Petersham Nurseries is one of our favourite restaurants, so we were thrilled when Lillingston approached us with this brief inspired by Petersham for a bar mitzvah at Kensington Palace.

An open stretch tent covered the bare wood long tables, which were styled with brown paper runners and an eclectic mix of vases and pots with flowers and herbs.

Guests took their seats and nibbled on crudité in flower pots filled with edible soil and hummous and sipped on strawberry and watermelon gazpacho. A plated starter of truffled artichokes, goat’s curd and bitter leaves, was followed by a sharing feast of rare roast beef, sous vide salmon, duck fat roast potatoes and a colourful array of summer salads.

A choice of puddings followed before the guests relocated to the terrace and the Orangery for the contrasting after party ablaze with neon and a rainbow mojito bar.

“The event was managed flawlessly and your role in that was immense. We are very grateful to you and your team for putting on such a great show for us. I loved the sticky toffee pudding and lost count of the number of Lavender Margarita’s I sampled!”
